Description

Artisan Enterprise Multimedia Competition We are calling all artisans and artisan supporters to share your perspective on the value and impact of the $34B a year artisan economy and how artisan enterprise empowers individuals, families, and local economies around the world.  We want your photos, videos, drawings, or other multimedia to help us spread the word on the value of artisan enterprise as the next startup economy, the world’s second largest employer in the developing world after agriculture. Participants will have the chance to win an expenses-paid TRIP TO Washington, D.C., CASH, and a FEATURE in the Alliance global marketing campaign for the artisan sector! Prizes

Grand Prize
Cash Prize Amount: $1500
Grand prize of $1500 will be awarded to at least one individual. The winner of the grand prize will be announced and recognized at the Alliance for Artisan Enterprise Global Campaign Launch Event in Washington, D.C. in September.

Finalist Prizes
Up to 30 finalists globally will be selected to receive an expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. where they will be recognized in a high-profile launch event for the Alliance for Artisan Enterprise global campaign for the artisan sector. Finalists will also have their designs featured in the Alliance global campaign marketing materials.

Rules

All men and women age 18 and up are eligible to enter. We are seeking creative multimedia designs from all eligible countries and professions, including artisans, students, graphic designers, photographers, digital designers, and those just appreciate the artistry of handmade crafts as a consumer of artisan products. More details on eligibility criteria can be found in the Competition Terms & Conditions.

Contestants may apply as either individuals or as a team. However, teams selected as finalists or winners will only receive one prize to be shared by the team. To be considered for a competition prize, contestants must:
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Submit your own, original work.
  • Submit your entry form in English.
  • Agree to the Competition Terms and Conditions.
  • Submit your entry by no later than August 10, 2015 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (ET).

How To Enter

Entering is easy!  Submit your entry using the online form on the contest website. All submissions must be in English and received by the deadline to be considered. Your entry should include:

1. A Short Bio About Yourself (1500 Characters Maximum) 

We want to know about you! Note that if you are selected as a finalist your bio may be made public as part of our winner announcements.

2. Electronic File of Your Multimedia Content.  

Your entry may be designed by hand, such as a photo of a painting, mural design, or hand-drawn illustration, OR designed by device, such as a photo, video, digital illustration, poster, mixed media, or infographic. Acceptable file types include PDF, .PNG, .JPG, .GIF, and EPS. Files should be no more than 10MB each and, if possible, at least 200 pixels per inch. Videos may be no longer than 2 minutes and should be submitted via YouTube URL.

3. A Brief Description of Your Entry (5000 Characters Maximum)

Your description should provide a short explanation of how your design addresses one of the two competition topics on our contest website.
