NASA Earth Science Data OpenNEX Challenge

NASA is launching two challenges to give the public an opportunity to create innovative ways to use data from the agencys Earth science satellites called OpenNEX (or Open NASA Earth Exchange). OpenNEX is a data, supercomputing and knowledge platform where users can share modeling and analysis codes, scientific results, knowledge and expertise to solve big data challenges in the Earth sciences. The challenges will be run on Innocentive.com.

Description

OpenNEX is a data, supercomputing and knowledge platform where users can share modeling and analysis codes, scientific results, knowledge and expertise to solve big data challenges in the Earth sciences. The challenges will be run on Innocentive.com and consist of an ideation challenge and a builder challenge. The builder challenge goal will be to develop an application or algorithm that promotes climate resilience using the OpenNEX data, based on ideas from the first challenge.
