Description

The National Geothermal Competition (NGSC) is a national intercollegiate competition in which student teams compete to advance understanding of the potential for geothermal energy to provide a major component of the nations energy needs in coming decades. The inaugural competition in 2010-2011 will ask student teams to produce a comprehensive assessment of the geothermal energy potential of the Rio Grande Rift geologic province in southeastern Colorado and northeastern New Mexico.
