Description

Important Notice:  On Monday September 11, starting at 9:00 am EST, we will shut down public access to the Patient Match Scoring server for approximately 24 hours to perform maintenance on the site. During that time, we will update the system to reflect the competition moving out of the beta phase with the production answer key and rescoring all submissions against the new answer key. The final answer key includes new matches that were reviewed based upon feedback from the submissions made in the beta period. This was done to ensure the final answer key matches are as close to possible as the true matches. There are n x (n-1) comparisons and human review cannot review all possible repairs in a timely manner. In the challenge we have the novelty of having a data set that is analyzed and scrutinized to a greater degree than would occur in the real world, allowing the ground truth or the (answer key) to have the best possible coverage and be as representative as possible of the true pairs. The site will re-open at 9:00 am EST on September 12th. All subsequent submissions will be scored against the updated answer key. No other updates are expected. For this final phase, a maximum of 100 runs may be performed against the update answer key. The challenge will close at 9 am October 12, 2017. Accurately matching patient records allow medical professionals to have the best information for their decision-making and reduces the need for duplicate services.
